BECOME SPEAKER OR WORKSHOP FACILITATOR FOR THE UNICORNS IN TECH SUMMIT
The Unicorns in Tech Summit is our LGBTIQ+ Tech Conference & Career Fair. This years edition, dear___future, will take place on October 12th (2024), in person, in Berlin (Germany).
And we are looking for exciting speakers and workshop facilitators: are you ready to hop on stage? Then we are looking forward to your submission!
WHAT TO TALK ABOUT?
The UITS24 embraces dear___future as this years motto. We are looking for presentations that entertain, educate and inspire. We believe in connecting queerness to all different kinds of topics. Here are some keywords that match very well with this year’s spirit. Please notice that the following keywords do not limit the content of a presentation/workshop – we appreciate the intersection of two topics and more, as long as a queer-related perspective is provided.

HOW DO THE PRESENTATIONS WORK?
You can choose to deliver your talk in 20 minutes with a 5-minute Q&A session or take the whole 25 minutes to cover your subject. Talks can be held in English or in German. We will let you know in advance how our talks will work in detail and what technology you will need.
HOW DO THE WORKSHOPS WORK?
You can choose to facilitate your workshop in 60 or 90 minutes with a group of 10-20 people. Workshops can be held in English or German. We will let you know in advance how our workshops will work in detail and what technology you will need.
WHAT’S FOR YOU?
Each speaker/facilitator will receive:
- A stipend* for their work, which will be discussed during an intro call.
- A detailed profile on our website, where we will include their talk and professional activities.
- Yummy complimentary catering during the event.
- A fantastic hub of visitors, exhibitors and fellow participants for them to network with.
*Unfortunately, as a social-business we are not yet at the stage where we can offer to pay speakers/facilitators their usual industry fees.
WHAT’S THE TIMELINE?
Application (June-August) → Intro Call with the UIT team (June-September) → Final Briefing via Email (September) → Come on stage (12th October)
